Water woes

Here we go again folks. Our illustrious city council says they’re going to create a committee to look into who, if anyone, was responsible for our recent water woes. They say it’ll take about four or five months to get to the bottom of it. One month to decide who will chair said committee, another month to decide who will be on it, a month to gather the pertinent data, a month or two to examine the data and write the report, and, of course, a month or so for it to circulate around the playpen so all the mucky-mucks can go over it to whitewash any damaging information related to themselves. I wonder how much this “transparent” report is going to cost us? Remember, these are the same folks who squandered nearly $5 million and spent two years to come up with three little words that most people agree weren’t needed in the first place. Blue Sky City.

Workers deserve thanks

I hope the mayor will give a big ‘thank you’ to all who did a great job getting the feeder main back in service. The City of Calgary should give all those involved a big recognition to all. Good job done by all. Thank you.

FRED WASILCIW

(Agreed. A big thank you to all those who worked round the clock to get Calgary’s water flowing again)

Make them pay in the election

Through the last two elections, Trudeau has been able to buy off enough voters to win and still controls that power of the purse! As a narcissist, Trudeau has never accepted blame for serious scandals that have plagued his government nor being found to have breached ethics three times. He is now unwilling to accept his leadership is the main reason for falling poll numbers and the recent byelection loss. With Jagmeet Singh a solid socialist coalition partner willing to continue propping Trudeau up until the election in late 2025, why would he leave? Does anyone think Trudeau willingly will give up his private plane, perks he can only dream about, and having power to push his ideology and keep spending recklessly? Let’s hope next election that voters make both Singh and Trudeau pay for what they have done to Canada.
