It will be an unforgettable weekend for two Canadian lottery players after waking up to the news that they split a prize after the recent draw.
The Lotto Max draw took place on Friday, November 8, and the winning numbers were 02, 16, 25, 38, 40, 41, 44, and bonus 26. Although the top prize is still up for grabs, two people came pretty close to a big win.
According to PlayNow, two lottery players from different provinces matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number, netting themselves the second prize. Split between them, each will walk away with a $111,509.90 prize. The tickets were sold in Maple Ridge, BC, and Ontario.
The third prize will be split between four people who matched six out of the seven winning numbers. Each will receive $5,575.50.
There were four Maxmillions prizes to be won, but no one won a single $1 million prize.
There were also no winners for the $500,000 top prize in the Lotto Max Extra. However, according to OLG, one person in Ontario just woke up $1 million richer after matching the Encore winning number 0419828.
The last time someone won a massive Lotto Max prize was on October 15, when a lottery player from Ontario won the $65 million prize. The winning ticket was sold in Etobicoke.
Hoping to be one of the lucky ones in the next Lotto Max draw? The next one is set for Tuesday, November 12. The jackpot is worth $60 million, with six Maxmillions to be won.
