Canadian lottery players undoubtedly had their eyes on the prize during the most recent draw, and there were some pretty big wins.
The draw took place on Friday, November 29, and the jackpot was a massive $80 million. The winning numbers were 06, 17, 26, 29, 30, 39, 49, and bonus 02. No one won the top prize this time, however, several people came close and won the second prize after matching six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number. As a result, three people across Canada will split the second prize, each receiving $355,128.90. According to PlayNow, the winning tickets were sold in Western Canada, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada.
The third prize will be split between 79 people after they matched six of the seven winning numbers. Each will receive $5,727.50.
There were 20 Maxmillions prizes for grabs, and several Canadians will wake up to some impressive wins. Five people are now $1 million richer after winning a Maxmillions prize. Two winning tickets were sold in Western Canada, two in Ontario, and one in Quebec. In addition, two people will split a Maxmillions prize after they matched the winning numbers 7, 12, 17, 24, 28, 45, and 48. The tickets were purchased in Western Canada and Quebec.
Someone in Abbotsford, BC, is now $500,000 richer after winning the Lotto Max Extra prize. No one won the Encore top prize, worth $1 million.
Lottery players will have even more chances to win in the next draw.
“In the Tuesday, December 3 draw, the prize pool will amount to $109 million and include a $80 million jackpot and an estimated 29 Maxmillions,” stated Loto-Québec.
