Walmart is hiring managers across Canada and you don’t need experience for these roles

Walmart Canada launched in 1994 with 122 stores and now has over 400 locations, employing more than 100,000 people nationwide. Currently, there are over 800 job openings at Walmart stores across Canada, some of which are management roles that don’t require specific qualifications or experience.

Description: You’ll create operational plans and provide managers and associates with clear direction. As an assistant manager, you’ll be cross-trained to work in all store areas as required. You’ll oversee safety and operational reviews and ensure operations comply with Walmart policies.

Food Assistant Manager

Location: New Westminster, BC

Salary: $53,300 to $64,315

Experience: None; you just need to be 16 years of age or older

Description: As a food assistant manager, you’ll manage store operations and ensure friendly, helpful service. In addition to implementing and reviewing new store programs, you’ll be trained to work in all departments as needed. You’ll also conduct regular store meetings, drive engagement, and reward accomplishments to encourage professional growth.

Alberta

Fashion Assistant Manager

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Experience: None; you just need to be 16 years of age or older

Description: In this role, you’ll adhere to company guidelines, lead associates, and help reach profit goals. You’ll also manage budgets and sales forecasts and analyze sales/financial reports and economic trends. You’ll also be tasked with greeting customers, seeking their feedback, and resolving complaints and issues.

General Merchandise Assistant Manager

Location: Calgary, Canada

Experience: None; you just need to be 16 years of age or older

Description: Responsibilities include supporting the store manager, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing, and evaluating successful results. You’ll execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls and respond to compliance issues, such as total loss/general controls.

Quebec

Consumables Assistant Manager

Location: Cowansville, Quebec

Experience: None; you just need to be 16 years of age or older

Description: You’ll help drive profits through budget management and sales forecasts. As a consumables assistant manager, you’ll delegate, prioritize, and provide managers and associates with clear direction. You’ll also implement new store programs and evaluate their effectiveness.

Location: Val-d’Or, Quebec

Experience: None; you just need to be 16 years of age or older

Description: As a management team member, you’ll help achieve sales and profit goals and manage budgets and sales forecasts. You’ll also ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation and competitive pricing.

Ontario

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Experience: None; you just need to be 18 years of age or older

Description: You’ll communicate with the overnight assistant manager and daytime management team to provide direction and assess the appearance and presentation of the merchandise. You’ll also note deficiencies that must be corrected and ensure defective merchandise is taken to the claims room. You’ll oversee safety and security in the absence of the overnight assistant manager.

Produce Department Manager

Location: Rockland, Ontario

Experience: None; you just need to be 16 years of age or older

Description: As the produce department manager, you’ll receive merchandise, use equipment appropriately and monitor them for repairs. You’ll also be responsible for required paperwork, logs, and other documentation. You’ll maintain product displays, signs, and pricing. You’ll also stock and rotate merchandise and remove damaged or out-of-date goods.
