Thai-inspired dessert spot with Bingsu and toast opens in Calgary

It’s good news for those with a sweet tooth, as a brand-new Thai-inspired dessert cafe has just opened in Calgary.

Calgary has its fair share of epic dessert spots, from Beavertails to ice cream. Now, Kati Kati has just opened in Chinatown in the spot previously held by The Alley, and its unique menu offers a taste of Thailand in YYC.

The menu is stuffed to the brim with sweet treats such as decadent stacked toasts and Bingsu, all of which are loaded with classic Thai ingredients such as coconut milk, pandan, and tropical fruit.

One delicious offering is the honey toast, served with a drizzle of honey and topped with butter crumble, whipped cream, strawberry, banana and vanilla ice cream.

Its Thai tea Bingsu captures the essence of the classic beverage with tea-infused shaved ice, with a cream cheese topping for another dimension of flavour.

Kati Kati is currently in its soft opening stage and is open from midday to 8 pm.
