Stampede Chef Showdown returns to Calgary next month

An epic culinary showdown is heading to YYC next month, just in time for the Calgary Stampede.

The Stampede Chef Showdown will return for its second year at The District at Beltline on July 8. Some of the city’s top chefs will compete against each other to win over not only a panel of judges but also food enthusiasts.

Six chefs from across the city will be looking to wow Calgarians with their mouth-watering Stampede dishes.

Returning to the competition is reigning champ Jinhee Lee from Jinbar, who will be competing against Francis Martinez of Fine Print YYC, Matthias Fong of Primary Colours, Rupert Garcia of Hawthorn, Michael Nop of Smugglers Inn, and Alejandro Buzzalino of Salt and Brick.

An esteemed panel of judges will decide a winner after sampling each of the dishes, and guests will also be able to have their say by voting for their favourite to secure the People’s Choice award.

As if chowing down on some fantastic creations isn’t enough, the event will also have live music, a photo booth and plenty of other exciting activities.

It’s going to be one hot ticket for foodies!
