Neighbourhood pub chain known for enormous poutines opening new location near Calgary

A popular neighbourhood pub chain has teased a new location, which will open just outside Calgary soon.

Leopold’s Tavern, which originated in Regina, is set to open its first Okotoks location at 10 D’Arcy Ranch Drive.

If you’re unfamiliar with the chain, Leopold’s Tavern – or Leo’s as it is commonly known – offers tons of weekly deals from Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday, as well as handhelds and appetizers.

One of its most well-known and loved dishes is its poutine, which comes with toppings ranging from the original cheese curd and gravy to buffalo chicken.

If you’re up for a challenge, the chain is home to the enormous punchbowl poutine, which includes five pounds of french fries, one pound of cheese curds, and a litre of gravy.

From the bar, diners will be able to choose from a wide selection of local craft beers, house cocktails, wine, and zero-proof beverages.

Leo’s has over 20 locations across Canada, including Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Vancouver, Kelowna, and Victoria.

While the spot has yet to reveal its Okotoks opening day, stay tuned for details on the new outpost!
