Native Tongues and UNA Pizza + Wine open new Calgary locations

Two of Calgary’s best-known and loved restaurants are set to open new outposts in the city’s University District before the end of the month.

Over the last few months, the northwest neighbourhood has seen an influx of new restaurants, including Seed N Salt, Pho Pham, and Charcut, to name a few. However, the latest restaurants to expand their YYC presence and open in the area are Native Tongues and UNA Pizza + Wine.

Alongside its existing Victoria Park and Britannia outposts, Native Tongues is gearing up to open its third Calgary location at 4014 University Avenue NW on November 26, just in time for Taco Tuesday.

Diners in the University District will be able to enjoy the restaurant’s stacked line-up of tacos, quesadillas, handhelds, and more from its brand-new space. Native Tongues has also hinted at some new and exclusive menu items for the location, so watch this space!

For those craving pizza, pasta, and Italian fare, Una Pizza + Wine has just opened its doors at 4034 University Avenue NW, across the street from Native Tongues.

The Calgary-based pizza joint is known for its California-inspired pies and dishes such as arancini, house-made whipped ricotta with truffle honey and kale Caesar salad. Food will be available for dine-in, takeout, and delivery.

With two more excellent restaurant additions, the University District is becoming a dining hotspot in the city, and we personally can’t wait to see what pops up next.
