A new spot serving Greek-style donuts has just opened its doors in Calgary.
Mr Puffs, a Montreal-based dessert chain, has opened its first YYC outpost in the Legacy neighbourhood at 20 Longview Common SE.
Founded in 2004 by Pandelis Siounis, Mr Puffs specializes in loukoumades, or traditional Greek donuts. The puffs, which are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, are usually dipped or drizzled in honey before being sprinkled with cinnamon and sometimes chopped walnuts.
While donuts like the originals are available, Mr Puffs also offers a twist on the classic with dozens of different toppings, such as chocolate hazelnut, caramel, maple cream, Oreo cheesecake, and more.
Whether you’re grabbing a dessert solo or with a group, Mr Puffs offers boxes of 12 to 50 puffs to enjoy.
Along with its signature puffs, the spot also serves a wide range of flavoured iced coffee, rolled and dipped ice cream cones, and milkshakes to indulge in.
The Calgary outpost is Mr Puffs’ first in Western Canada, with several locations across Quebec and Ontario.
