While the massive jackpot went unclaimed, a couple of lucky Canadian lottery players will have plenty of reason to celebrate this morning.
The Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, November 19, and all eyes were on the whopping $70 million jackpot. The winning numbers were 02, 10, 16, 18, 22, 44, 50, and bonus 42, but no one won the top prize.
However, one person managed to match six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number, netting themselves an impressive second prize worth $262,326.60. According to Atlantic Lottery, the winning ticket was sold in Miramichi, New Brunswick. In addition, 74 lottery players will walk away with $3,545 each after splitting the third prize.
At the time of the draw, 10 Maxmillions prizes were up for grabs, and four Canadians won big. According to PlayNow, the winning tickets were sold in Quebec, Western Canada, New Brunswick, and Duncan, BC. Each player is now $1 million richer.
No one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra or the Encore prize worth $1 million.
The next Lotto Max draw is set for Friday, November 2. The jackpot has now climbed to $75 million, and there are now 12 Maxmillions prizes to be won.
The last time someone won the Lotto Max top prize was October 15. The winning ticket was sold in Etobicoke, Ontario, and the jackpot was worth $65 million.
