Some major fast food news has broken in the US, and for once, Canadians have the upper hand.
McDonald’s officially confirmed that the cult favourite Snack Wraps will return to the States next year after being discontinued almost a decade ago. The news was so big in fact that the fast food giant’s US president Joe Erlinger made an appearance on Good Morning America to reveal it.
In a TikTok showing the precise moment all was revealed, Americans rushed to share their excitement about the return of the long-lost snack items.

“War is over,” one commented.
“This is the best news I’ve heard in months,” another added.
However, the Snack Wrap is old news in Canada. For those north of the border, the bite-sized wraps have been a long-standing fixture on McDonald’s menus for years.
It’s not often that the Great White North has a fast food offering ahead of the US, so Canadians wasted no time in rubbing it in their neighbours’ faces. This was a once-in-a-blue-moon occurrence, and Canadians relished in it.
“Me being Canadian and just finished my snack wrap cause they never left here,” one person joked.
“Laughs in Canadian… never left up here,” another added.
“Me in Canada enjoying my snack wrap once a week,” another TikTok user commented.
With long-lost menu items making a comeback in the US, do we dare hope for the return of the McPizza in Canada sometime soon?
McDonald’s has yet to reveal the official return date for Snack Wraps in the US in 2025, so Canadians still have the ability to gloat for just a little bit longer.
