After nearly three decades in the radio industry, Calgary radio host Rob Breakenridge says he was let go by Corus.
Breakenridge shared the news on his X account, calling himself the “latest, but sadly not the last, casualty of cuts/restructuring in the media industry,” and thanked his listeners.
Well, it’s been an amazing ride but after 27 years my time at Corus Radio come to an end. I’m the latest, but sadly not the last, casualty of cuts/ restructuring in the media industry. Thanks so much to all the listeners who allowed me into their lives for a few hours each day 1/

It’s been a busy month in Calgary’s media landscape — last week it was revealed that longtime CTV News Calgary anchor Jocelyn Laidlaw would not be returning to the anchor desk after being laid off earlier this year, and just yesterday it was announced legendary Global Calgary weather anchor Paul Dunphy will be retiring after nearly four decades with Corus.
