After nearly four decades with Global Calgary, longtime weather anchor Paul Dunphy has just a few more days left until he bids viewers goodbye.
Dunphy is well known for his time on Global News at 5 and Global News Hour at 6, when he gave Calgarians all they needed to know about the weather. It was announced last month that after 39 years, he would be retiring from broadcasting.
He has also been a broadcaster for 49 years, having gotten his start in radio in 1974, and had the pleasure of working with broadcasting legend Ed Whalen when he first arrived in Calgary.
Dunphy was also a recipient of the RTDNA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021.
You have just a few days left before Dunphy is off your television screens — his last broadcast will be on Monday, December 23.
