It has not been the start to the Stanley Cup Final the Edmonton Oilers have envisioned, and fans of the Florida Panthers couldn’t be happier.
The Oilers have been limited to just a single goal in the first two games of the series and are headed back to Alberta down 2-0 to the Panthers. It’s early, but Edmonton finds themselves in must-win territory to avoid going down 3-0 in the series while on home ice.
One Panthers fan made sure to show just how pumped he was during Game 2 as he stole the show during an in-game interview with Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch in the most Florida way possible.
Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch has his in-game interview photobombed for a second straight game by this very excited Florida Panthers fan.😂pic.twitter.com/CVEai94pSb

The young, shirtless fan was showing off his beach bod while screaming his heart out. Neither Knoblauch nor the reporter acknowledged him during the interview, but he made some waves on social media. It was the second straight game where the kid had photobombed an interview with Knoblauch.
Oilers fans weren’t impressed, but it seemed like he was a hit with hockey fans in general.
Full breed Florida kid 😂

While the atmosphere in Florida was a bit better than what fans are accustomed to seeing, it won’t hold a candle to what the Panthers are about to see in Edmonton. The entire city is buzzing with their team in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in 18 years, and you can expect decibel levels to hit an all-time high inside Rogers Place.
We’ll see if Oilers fans have a response to the “Florida Boy” when Game 3 gets going on Thursday night.
