How to watch tonight’s Flames-Kings game that’s not on TV

If you find yourself flipping through channels in search of the Calgary Flames game this evening, you won’t find it on traditional television.

That’s because the only place to watch the team’s Monday night matchup against the Los Angeles Kings is via Amazon’s Prime Video service, which is included with every Prime membership. This membership also offers free shipping on most products from its web store and other perks.

If not already subscribed, fans will need to shell out for an Amazon Prime subscription, which currently costs $9.99 per month or $99 for the year. A 30-day free trial is also available.

Though Sportsnet and TSN (as well as Saturday simulcasts on CBC) typically cover all 82 games for Calgary’s regular season, that isn’t the case in 2024-25.

Tonight’s game will be the first streaming-only Flames broadcast this season. Fans may want to circle their calendars as the Flames have five games on their 2024-25 schedule that have been deemed Prime Monday Night Hockey games. The full list is below.

  • November 11: Los Angeles Kings @ Calgary Flames (6:30 pm MT)
  • November 25: Calgary Flames @ Ottawa Senators (5:30 pm MT)
  • January 13: Calgary Flames @ Chicago Blackhawks (5:30 pm MT)
  • March 17: Calgary Flames @ Toronto Maple Leafs (5:30 pm MT)
  • March 31: Calgary Flames @ Colorado Avalanche (6:30 pm MT)

The Flames, who have posted a 7-5-3 record for their first 15, are coming off two consecutive losses. Their last victory came last Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens.

The Kings, meanwhile, have won three of their last four contests and currently sit in first place in the NHL’s Pacific Division.

The two teams last crossed paths back in April in a game that ended in a 4-1 victory for LA.

Puck drop at the Scotiabank Saddledome is set for 6:30 MT.
