If you’re a driver in Alberta who’s been putting off filling your gas tank, you may want to wait just a little longer if you can, as gas prices are set to go down soon.
According to the gas price forecasting site Gas Wizard, drivers in Alberta’s major cities can expect some relief tomorrow as fuel prices are projected to decrease.
On Friday, January 24, regular gas prices in Calgary are set to drop by two cents, bringing the cost down to $1.45 per litre.
Premium gas will see a similar reduction in price, dipping two cents to $1.72 per litre.
The cost of diesel in YYC is also expected to fall by two cents, down to $1.66 per litre.

Meanwhile, in Edmonton, the price of regular gas is also forecast to drop by two cents on Thursday, bringing the new price to $1.38 per litre. Similarly, premium gas will dip by two cents in YEG to $1.64 per litre.
As for diesel, prices are expected to dip by just one cent, down to $1.59 per litre.
