Whether they know it yet or not, one lottery player in Canada is now a brand-new multimillionaire after a massive win.
The recent Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, January 21, and it was a big one, with a jackpot worth an astounding $60 million. The winning numbers were 13, 15, 21, 35, 36, 42, 47, and bonus 38, and someone matched all seven.
According to OLG, the life-changing ticket was sold in Ontario.
“The $60 million Lotto Max jackpot-winning ticket from last night’s draw was sold in Etobicoke,” reads the release. “The $60 million jackpot is the first Lotto Max jackpot win in Ontario in 2025.”
According to PlayNow, two people matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number to win the second prize. As a result, two Quebec lottery players will each be taking home $109,857.80.
The third prize was split between 45 people, each receiving $4,882.60.
There were six Maxmillions prizes to be won during the draw, and one lottery player is now $1 million richer after they matched the winning numbers 1, 23, 30, 32, 45, 46, and 49. The ticket was sold in Western Canada.
No one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize in BC; however, someone won the $1 million Encore prize in Ontario. The lucky ticket was purchased in Dufferin County.
