A lottery winner from Edmonton plans to invest carefully after netting an enormous $1 million prize.
Tamas Toth was shocked to see familiar numbers on the screen when he checked the winning numbers for the November 23 Lotto 6/49 draw.
“I checked the numbers online and then had to check them a few more times,” he laughed while claiming his prize. “It’s kind of shocking!”
The new winner said he has a few ideas for his windfall but plans to take his time deciding what to do with the million-dollar prize.
“I’m not thinking anything ‘fun’ right now,” he explained. “I’d like to invest. I’ve started looking around for opportunities.”
“Most importantly, I want to make sure that I make the right decisions,” he continued. “I don’t want to just do the first thing that comes to mind.”
Toth purchased his $18 Lotto 6/49 ticket from Lynnwood Pharmasave, which is located at 8764 149 Street NW in Edmonton.
He won his prize by matching the Gold Ball draw selection on the November 23 Lotto 6/49 draw — 34089625-02.
