The forecast from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) shows that Calgary is looking balmy for most of this work week, but a drastic change is on the way.
Daytime highs are forecast to be above freezing from Monday until Thursday, but things really take a turn Thursday night, dropping to -9°C alongside a 60% chance of rain showers or flurries.
The daytime high for Friday is -9°C and the overnight low is a teeth-chattering -23°C, with the weekend shaping up to be a frigid one.
When you do the math between Wednesday’s daytime high and Friday’s overnight low, that’s a temperature difference of a whopping 32 degrees. We are already planning what shows to binge on Netflix all weekend while we stay warm indoors!
