Tucked underneath South Block Barbecue & Brewing in Calgary’s Mission neighbourhood is Blue Rock Swim Club, a new bar concept from the team behind Prickett Richard.

Pizza Face, one of Calgary’s most popular pizza joints, has reopened in a brand-new 17th Avenue location after a brief hiatus.
The spot is known for its huge selection of pies serving up familiar flavours like Tony’s Classic Roni, Quatro Formaggio, and Hawaiian. One of the most popular pies is the Mikes Pickle, with garlic cream, mozzarella, and crunchy pickles with fresh dill.

This new distillery has taken over one of Calgary’s oldest electrical substations, dating back to 1911. True Wild is home to Canada’s tallest copper pot alembic still and will serve its own gin vodka and whiskey as well as a menu of locally sourced, fire-grilled proteins and vegetable dishes.

If you’re unable to snag a DOPO reservation, or you’re simply in the mood for some light snacks and a cocktail or two, Bar Rocca is the place to be. There’s been an Ol’ Beautiful-shaped hole in most Calgarians’ lives since the taproom was forced to close earlier this year, but luckily, the team has just opened a brand-new concept.
