Calgary police say a youth died after being ejected from a car in a single-vehicle rollover on Stoney Trail Saturday afternoon.
S. Sgt. John Guigon tells CityNews the sedan was southbound on Stoney Trail near Mcknight about 4 p.m. when the driver lost control and ended up in the northbound lanes.
The youth was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Guigon says five youths in total were ejected from the vehicle. Two of them were taken to hospital in life-threatening condition and two sustained relatively minor injuries.
The crash happened along a straight stretch of road.
Police are investigating to try to determine what happened.
