A suspected impaired driver is in custody after leading police on a small chase through a southeast Calgary neighbourhood on Thursday afternoon.
Calgary police tell CityNews they received several calls about someone driving erratically around 4:30 p.m. in the community of Parkland.
Officers found the vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the driver would not stop. Police eventually forced the vehicle to a stop on the front lawn of a home on Parkridge Drive SE.
Video taken by a resident shows several police cruisers surrounding what appears to be a badly damaged vehicle. The driver can be seen exiting the car and is immediately taken to the ground and arrested.
No injuries were reported.
The driver is being investigated for impaired driving and charges are pending.
