Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Alberta Monday to be briefed on the Jasper wildfire situation and meet evacuees from the town.
It was Trudeau’s first visit to Alberta since a massive wildfire tore through Jasper two weeks ago, destroying one-third of the popular tourist town.
The prime minister was joined in Hinton, east of Jasper National Park, by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith.
