A ‘fowl’ situation has shut down a stretch of a major road in southeast Calgary on Thursday.
Calgary police say a tractor-trailer lost its load of chicken parts on Peigan Trail SE around 5 p.m.
The road is closed in both direction between 36 Street and 52 Street NE for the cleanup.
“I’m guessing it’s going to be a disaster to cleanup,” a CPS spokesperson tells CityNews . “It’s literally chicken parts all over the road, like grease and blood.”
Police say no other vehicles have been involved in a collision and no injuries have been reported.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
