A man is fighting for his life after he crashed into construction machinery in northeast Deerfoot Sunday morning, Calgary police say
Officers tell 660 NewsRadio they responded to calls about a truck driving erratically 20 minutes before the incident, which happened at around 3:30 a.m.
They say he was seen driving away from a construction area on Deerfoot Trail approaching Beddington NE, and then crashed into construction machinery.
The driver suffered serious, life-threatening injuries, and was removed from his vehicle by the Calgary Fire Department.
Northbound roads at Deerfoot approaching Beddington, just after 64 Avenue, were closed as police investigated, but they are now clear.
This follows several incidents and crashes that have happened in the last two days.

Police say that happened at around 8:30 a.m. when two people were injured in a head-on collision.
The individuals, both adults, were taken to hospital — one in stable condition and the other in serious condition.
