A group of teenagers east of Calgary allegedly threatened a child with deadly weapons while demanding they hand over their Halloween candy.
Chestermere RCMP say officers were called around 7:55 p.m. for reports of a youth being threatened.
It is alleged a group of up to six teenagers wearing dark clothes and masks demanded the victim hand over their Halloween candy. When the child refused, the group allegedly pulled out a machete and a gun.
The victim ran away and one of the teens allegedly bear sprayed them as they ran.
Police believe the suspects then left the area in a red Volkswagen car.
The group is described as five or six male teenagers in dark clothing and masks.
