A teenage boy has serious injuries after a stabbing outside a Calgary high school on Monday.
Calgary Police Service (CPS) tell CityNews emergency crews were called to John G Diefenbaker High School, near 4 Street NW and 64 Avenue NW, around 4:20 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.
A male teen who had been stabbed in the arm and upper back was found outside the school. He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition.
Officers also located a weapon at the scene.
Police say the high school and nearby schools were not placed in lockdown since the incident occurred after the school day ended.
Investigators will be reviewing security footage and talking to witnesses to gather more information. No suspect information has been made available.
The investigating is ongoing.
