Innisfail RCMP say they began investigating after receiving reports of a stolen pickup truck last Thursday.

Police were able to track the location of the 2018 Chevy Silverado with the help of the owner’s OnStar GPS. Officers executed a search warrant at a property on Range Road 25 in Mountain View County.

Police found the stolen truck as well as several weapons and military hardware on the property, including:

  • 3 bolt action rifles
  • 8 air pistols and BB guns

  • 12 7.62mm round magazines

  • A box filled with miscellaneous military equipment including tarps and helmets that was reported stolen out of Lacombe County

A military explosives team was brought in to help dispose of the grenades.
