Semi carrying cattle crashes on Calgary road, killing at least 17 cows: police

Seventeen cows are dead after a semi truck carrying cattle crashed on the southbound ramp of Stoney Trail and Macleod Trail in Calgary Tuesday.

A dashcam video posted to Reddit shows the truck travelling between 115 and 120 kilometres per hour before it tips over while trying to navigate a curve in the road.

Police tell CityNews the stretch of road was closed by emergency crews, who then spent several hours rounding up as many as 100 animals who broke loose from the trailer
