RCMP are on scene Friday morning at a train derailment northeast of Calgary, near the village of Beiseker.
Police say the incident between Highway 806 and Range Road 255, north of Highway 9, has left 19 cars off the tracks.
Investigators have yet to determine what the cars were carrying.
Traffic isn’t impacted by the derailmet, according to RCMP, but drivers are asked to avoid the area.
Fire crews and CN Rail personnel are also on scene.
