RCMP look to identify body found in truck in K-Country last year

Alberta RCMP are asking for help to identify a man found dead inside a truck in Bow Valley Provincial Park last November.

Police say on Nov. 3, 2023 Cochrane RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at Widowmaker Trail Head in the provincial park.

When officers got there, they found human remains inside the vehicle.

An autopsy was done on Nov. 6 and the cause of death was determined to be homicide.

The man was found inside a white 1998 Dodge Ram with Alberta license plate CNF1057 and police say that vehicle was stolen from the northwest Calgary neighbourhood of Dalhousie in the early morning hours of Oct. 24, 2024.
