Crews are blocking off a stretch of 16 Avenue NW due to a possible watermain break.
Police tell CityNews that Calgary fire crews were in the process of closing off the major route at Home Road NW around 7:15 p.m. due to flooding on the roadway.
The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) is calling the incident a possible watermain break.
Traffic cameras in the area show water filling the westbound lanes of 16 Avenue at the intersection. Motorists are being diverted northbound onto Home Road.
