Mounties are working to identify a suspect they say sexually assaulted two youths in Red Deer earlier this month.
Red Deer RCMP say they began investigating after receiving a report of a sexual assault on May 9.
In a release, police say two 12-year-olds were walking in the Oriole Park West neighbourhood when they were approached by a man. It is alleged the man put his hands down their pants and “grabbed their buttocks.”
The two youth ran from the area.
Police have obtained a composite sketch of the suspect in hopes someone will be able to identify him.
He is described as 30 to 40-year-old man with a medium complexion, 5′ 8″ tall with a heavy build, curly dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants and wearing a backpack.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
