Police searching for pair charged in violent kidnapping, assault

Police are looking for a man and a woman charged in connection with a violent kidnapping five years ago, after the pair missed a court date.

Calgary police say a victim met a woman online and agreed to meet her at a home near 1 Avenue NE and 12 Street NE on Apr. 15, 2019.

When the victim arrived at the home he was allegedly attacked and held against his will by a number of people he did not know.

Investigators allege the group of suspects physically and sexually assaulted the victim while demanding their cell phone, banking information, bank cards, pin numbers and passwords.

The victim gave his information to the suspects who allegedly transferred several thousand dollars to themselves.

The suspects held the victim until the next day, according to police, when they drove him in his own vehicle to several locations around the city, including a home in the southeast.

The victim was eventually released by the suspects without his vehicle before he made his own way to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Calgary police charged four people in connection with the kidnapping.

“After exhausting all investigative efforts, police are now asking for the public’s help to locate two of the accused who are wanted on warrants in relation to this incident after they missed court,” reads a police release.

Police are looking for 48-year-old Christina Ann Schollen who is wanted on warrants for kidnapping and aggravated assault, and 40-year-old Richard Wayne Parsons wanted on warrants for fraud, robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping, extortion, sexual assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with an order.

Schollen is described as five feet three inches tall, 95 lbs., with a slim build, brown hair and blue eyes. Parsons is described as six feet one inch tall, 172 lbs., with a medium build, brown hair and green eyes.

Investigators do not know if the two are together or in different places.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
