Police matter delays NE CTrains, shuttle buses coming for riders

Calgary Transit says trains on the Blue Line are running behind schedule Friday morning due to a police incident.

In a post to social media around 9:30 a.m., Calgary Transit said shuttle buses were being arranged between Whitehorn and McKnight Station due a passenger medical emergency.

A short time later, transit officials posted an update, saying the situation is now being classified as a police incident.

YYC Transportation said just after 10 a.m. emergency services were on scene helping a pedestrian involved in an incident at 36 Street at 44 Avenue NE.

It says northbound 36 Street is closed at Whitefield Road NE, while southbound 36 Street is closed at McKnight Boulevard NE.

Drivers are asked to find an alternate route.

This is a developing story.
