Police looking for caregiver of young child found wandering in SE Calgary

Police are trying to find the parents or caregiver of a young child who was found outside a school in southeast Calgary on Thursday morning.

Calgary police were called to Valley View School on 26 Avenue SE just east of 36 Street SE around 9 a.m.

Police say a Good Samaritan brought the boy into the school and staff were able to confirm he was not a student.

CPS say the child is safe but they have not been able to identify his caregivers.

He is described as four or five-years-old, around 3’5″ tall, 35 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a navy blue and grey Fila hoodie, with matching navy blue Fila sweatpants and a backpack with cartoons on it.
