Police find suspect in Beltline double stabbing; charges pending

Calgary police have found a suspect who they believe stabbed two people at an apartment in the city’s Beltline neighbourhood on Monday morning.

Officers were called to a building in the 600 block of 13 Avenue SW around 9:30 a.m. for reports that a man and woman had been stabbed.

The two victims were taken to hospital in stable condition.

The suspect left the scene before police arrived.

In an update Thursday, police say the suspect has been found and charges are pending. CPS say more information will be made available once the suspect makes their first court appearance.

Police have not yet said of the suspect and victims knew each other.
