Calgary police have closed 7 Avenue SW downtown after a person was hit by a CTrain Thursday morning.
EMS tells CityNews paramedics were called to the intersection of 7 Avenue and 6 Street SW around 10:30 a.m., where they found one adult who had been hit by an LRT.
That person was taken to Foothills Medical Centre in stable, non-life threatening condition, according to EMS.
As a result, trains aren’t running on 7 Avenue SW between 5 Street SW and 6 Street SW. Riders are advised to make their way to a shuttle bus to connect with the Red Line or Blue Line. Zones will be highlighted with an orange shuttle bus sign.
The city says shuttle buses run eastbound on 9 Avenue and westbound on 6 Avenue.
This is a developing story.
