Calgary police have closed an intersection in the northeast Thursday morning after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
Investigators say around 10:40 a.m., officers responded to 26 Avenue and 52 Street NE for reports a person had been hit while crossing the street.
The driver stayed at the scene, but the pedestrian was taken to Foothills Hospital in serious condition.
Police have closed 52 Street from 32 Avenue to 26 Avenue NE.
Drivers are asked to take a different route.
