One person is in life-threatening condition after a serious crash on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Calgary on Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to Highway 1 near Lac des Arcs, about 20 kilometres east of Canmore, around 3:45 p.m. for reports of a crash.
Paramedics tell CityNews one adult was rushed to Foothills hospital in Calgary by STARS air ambulance.
No other injuries were reported.
There is no word how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
The westbound lanes of the highway were shut down around 4 p.m. and reopened to traffic around 5 p.m.
