Mementos of Ralph and Colleen Klein up for grabs in estate sale

Alberta history buffs have the opportunity to score some unique mementos this weekend at a sale of Ralph and Colleen Klein’s estate.

“This is your chance to own a memento of the Klein’s and a little bit of Alberta history,” says a Facebook page run by Calgary Estate Clearing. “Come join us tomorrow, walk down memory lane and enjoy the items Ralph and Colleen collected over years of extraordinary lives and careers.”

The sale runs Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Potential shoppers are asked to RSVP on the page so organizers have an idea of how many people to plan for.

Ralph Klein was Alberta’s Premier from 1992 to 2006. Before that, he was the mayor of Calgary from 1980 to 1989.

The longtime politician and former journalist died in 2013 at 70 years old.

His wife of more than four decades, Colleen, died in June 2024 after months of failing health. She was 83.
