Police are investigating a crash in southwest Calgary over the weekend that left a man in critical condition.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Oakfield Drive and Cedarwood Road SW, south of Southland Drive, around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Investigators say a man in his 60s was crossing Oakfield Drive in an unmarked crosswalk when he was struck by a dark-blue 2006 Jeep Liberty that was turning at the intersection.
The man who was struck was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and police say he remains there in critical condtion.
The driver of the Jeep, a man in his 20s, remained at the scene.
Police do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
