Long-term offender wanted Canada-wide after removing ankle bracelet: Calgary police

A long-term offender is wanted Canada-wide after removing his monitoring bracelet and leaving his approved bracelet Calgary police say.

Michael James Robertson, 37, was last known to be in a building on the 4500 block of Builders Road SE just before 9 p.m. on May 10.

Police say his ankle monitor was found in the Applewood area at around 10 p.m.

Robertson is described as being 6’1″ tall, weighing around 260 pounds, with black hair, and brown eyes. Officers say he has multiple tattoos, including under his eyes and on his neck.

He was declared a long-term offender after serving a seven-year Long-Term Supervision Order under the supervision of Correctional Service of Canada.

Police say his 12 charges stem from Saskatchewan and include robbery, disguise with intent, arson with disregard for human life, assault, assault with a weapon, mischief in relation to property, and careless use of a firearm.
