Police are looking for a woman accused of assaulting her toddler son in Lethbridge last year.
Lethbridge Police say they began investigating in May 2024 after a one-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police were called due to the “suspicious nature of the injuries.”
Investigators learned the boy suffered significant blunt force trauma and other injuries while with his mother. He has since been released from hospital and is recovering with relatives.
In late 2024, police charged 43-year-old Delia Teri Joy Grey with aggravated assault, failure to provide the necessaries of life and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
A warrant was issued for her arrest, but police have not been able to find her.
Police are asking anyone who has seen Grey, or knows where she is, to call 403-328-4444, or submit tips anonymously to CrimeStoppers.
