RCMP in High River are advising the public of a heavy police presence in the town south of Calgary Thursday morning.
Just after 6:30 a.m., police said an operation was taking place in the 600 block of 6 Street in High River.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the area and not to post the actions of police on social media.
About an hour later, RCMP said the operation had ended and the emergency response team had left the scene.
However, investigators are expected to remain to continue the investigation.
This is a developing story.
