High River man facing child porn charges

High River RCMP say a man from the town south of Calgary is facing charges related to child pornography.

In April, RCMP and the Southern Alberta Integrated Child Exploitation Unit began investigating the distribution of child pornography.

As a result of the investigation, police were able to get a search warrant for a location in High River on Tuesday, where a man was arrested.

Numerous electronics were seized during the search, and RCMP are continuing to analyze those devices.

Thirty-three-year-old Aaron Walton has been charged with possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography, and distributing child pornography.

Following an appearance before a Justice of the Peace, he was released from custody with conditions.

Walton is expected to appear in court in Okotoks on June 21.
