Some Calgary golf courses are opening (and re-opening) this weekend.
The city opened the 18-hole courses at McCall Lake and Maple Ridge earlier this month in the midst of dry and warm weather.
But, a dip below freezing and wet, heavy snow soon curtailed those plans.
However, McCall and Maple Ridge will be re-opened for the season on Saturday, April 20, as will the course at Shaganappi Point.
The nine-hole course and driving range at Confederation Park will open for the first time this year on Sunday, April 21.

Online booking is now open for Maple Ridge, McCall Lake, Shaganappi Point and Confederation Park through the City of Calgary booking portal.
Shaganappi Point Golf Course, at 1200 26 Street SW, will open it’s 18-hole course, nine-hole course, and driving range.
McCall Lake Golf Course on 32 Avenue NE, will open the 18-hole course, a Par 3 course, and a driving range.
Maple Ridge Golf Course, also in the southeast, will open it’s 18-hole course, while Confederation Park will open it’s nine-hole course and driving range.
The city says due to early season conditions, maintenance rates will be in effect at all golf courses.
