A man has serious injuries following a daylight shooting in downtown Calgary on Wednesday.
Police tell CityNews they were called to 5 Avenue SE near the Calgary drop-in centre around 5:50 p.m. for reports of gunshots.
Officers arrived to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say another person was injured, but it does not appear to be the result of gunfire.
No suspect information has been made available.
The 5 Avenue flyover was briefly closed as police blocked off the area, but the roadway has since reopened.
