A man is in hospital with serious injuries and another man is in custody after a daylight shooting in Okotoks.
RCMP say emergency crews were called to Sheep River Court in a residential area on the west side of Okotoks around 3 p.m. Wednesday.
A 53-year-old man was found suffering from a gun shot wound. He was rushed to a Calgary hospital via STARS air ambulance where he remains in serious, but stable condition.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and charges are pending.
Investigators are calling the shooting “an isolated incident” and say there is no threat to the wider public.
A police presence will remain in the area as officers investigate.
