It was a close call for a family rafting down the Bow River Monday afternoon when a child fell off a raft and into the water.
Calgary Fire tells CityNews a witness reported the child falling out of a boat near Baker Park in the Bowness area around 1 p.m.
Fire crews responded by sending a one rescue boat upstream and another boat downstream.
Battalion chief Alistair Robin says by the time the responding crews arrived the parents were able to get their child back in the raft safely.
No injuries were reported.
There is no confirmation whether the child was wearing a life-jacket.
